The purpose of the  Lakeshore  Youth Philharmonic is to enrich the lives of young people within a musical community by providing the finest possible classical music orchestral training, practice and performance opportunities, enabling our students to learn, share, and enjoy the power of music in a culturally enriching environment.

The LYP has always been characterized by gifted musicians, dedicated conductors, challenging music, and exacting performances.

Congratulations to all our Concerto Competition contestants!  There was a high level of musicianship among all contestants.

Important Schedule Changes for Philharmonic Rehearsals: 

Sunday, April 12- OFF/Break

Sunday, April 19: 1-4

Sunday, April 26:  Changed from 11-1 to 1-4 

No rehearsal May 2 for either group.

May 3rd Rehearsal before concert: 

Philharmonic 5:15-6:00

Sinfonia 6:00-6:30

Spring Concert will be held on Sunday, May 3, 2009, 7:00pm at Reuther Auditorium.
